February 26, 2017 - Apparence rouge cramoisi, densité moyenne (surtout considerant le cepage).
Nez ouvert, typique, sous-bois, champignon, fraise.
En bouche continuité des odeurs, fraises écraisées, sucre d'erable, tanins souples, légère acidité. Beau specimen de PN du nouveaux monde sans excès. Excellent rapport QP.

June 17, 2015 - Interesting Pinot. Great strong fruit Pinot nose, the appearance was not as thin as most. Had a lot of good Pinot qualities that would make this an excellent wine, but too much acidity to the point had a hard time pairing with food. This was on the verge of being an outstanding Pinot, but the acidity threw it a tad off balance. On one hand I wonder if it is too young (we did fully decant and let breather), but 5 1/2 yrs?

May 30, 2014 - Medium garnet. Initially somewhat funky. Red cherry, strawberry, green herbs and hints of undergrowth, quite evolved. Medium-bodied, soft and balanced with bright acidity and good length. Nice pairing with grilled chicken fillet.

February 2, 2014 - Upon opening the bottle, a somewhat unpalatable whiff of toasted oak and yeast which fortunately dissipated quickly and left a fairly vague nose of red berries. First sips revealed a fairly acid-driven wine with light tannins, somewhat faint fruit. Oak is nicely integrated, bringing a nice mouthfeel and some sweet vanilla to the finish.

Some aeration brings improvement, the fruit becomes more pronounced, with red currant, raspberry and blackberry. Some spiciness appears as well, mostly aromatic wood (cedar, juniper). Finish is rather long, first with fruit but at the end dominated by oak notes (mostly vanilla).

Not very complex, but it sure is a nice and straight-forwardly tasty companion to lighter meat/fowl courses, or just on its own. Is definitely much improved with air.

November 22, 2013 - Little earthy and funky at first but that disappated over an hour. Little hints of cherry. Nice but not tremendously so.

August 6, 2013 - I think this is a very good pinot for the price. Upfront acidity with strawberry and rhubarb. A bit of terroir on the nose and the tongue. A bit flat at the end but overall great value.
