October 5, 2013 - Tired and oxidized. Lots of heat from the alcohol. This is usually a very reliable producer for me.

September 24, 2013 - PnP. Deep gold in color, unlike any CA or NZ SB. Beautiful nose of honey, tuberose, jasmine, and a bit of lemon. Palate marked by honeydew, some apple, and even a hint of clove. As strange as that may sound, it certainly tastes great. Nice soft mouthcoating texture with just the right amount of acidity to keep it fresh. Long, lingering finish. Every time I have a great Sancerre such as this, I keep telling myself I need to drink Sancerre more often. Absolutely fantastic bottle. Bummed it was my last.

Enjoyed in a Riedel Vinum Sauvignon Blanc glass at about 53°F.

September 8, 2013 - Sunday Brown Bag Tasting: Malbec (current releases) (Augie's): Straw yellow color featuring notes of melon, pear and waxy Rhonish qualities, turning to apple as it sits in the glass. Apple tones dominate the palate, turning bitter with time. Has a fair amount of acid too.

January 21, 2012 - Found one last bottle of this at my local shop and jumped on it. Consistent with previous notes. We just LOVE this. I really hope the 2010 is as good. Beautiful wine with tremendous balance, and so food friendly.

December 11, 2011 - Consistent with previous notes. Outstanding bottle of wine, paired beautifully with Cornish hens with dried fruit at Tania's.

Hope the 2010 is as good because I can't get the 09 anymore.

November 24, 2011 - Had this with Thanksgiving dinner and it was outstanding. Wasn't sure how it would pair, but the food brought out a rich, buttery aspect (think Chardonnay) of this wine that I would not have expected from a previous tasting in the wine shop. Really versatile with food.

If you drink a lot of Sauv Blanc from New Zealand or CA and have not yet tried Sancerre, wait no longer. These wines have such beautiful balance of fruit and acidity and minerality, the latter of which is seldom from in SB fron NZ or CA. This wine would be a good one to try to begin exploring Sancerre.

Ran back to the wine shop to get more of this after Thanksgiving, but it was all gone. Rats...

May 17, 2011 - Pale, no sediment. I also noticed floral notes on the nose, nice fruit without too much acid on the palate. No noticeable MLF or oak, at least not for me. Very pleasant.
