March 21, 2015 - Excellent Walla Walla Syrah. Nice structure, tannin, black pepper, chewy, and right amount of purple fruits. This could age even longer but always a great wine from this great little producer.

January 1, 2015 - Awesome funkiness on the pop, smoothing out with air. Lots of cracked peppercorn, blackberry fruit, bitter bakers chocolate finish. Great stuff, sad it's my last bottle.

September 2, 2014 - Dark ruby, cherry, blackberry nose with cedar notes. Dry, lightly fruit forward balanced by tart tannins with slight bitter notes. Medium fruit, mostly blackberries with a little cherry, moderate tannins. Some air brings on a good balance, a little more restrained like nice GSM or WA Cab Franc. Appealing to a Pinot drinker's palette. Nice round fruit with some tart bitter tannins on the finish. I'm liking this more all the time. I think I will start drinking my '08s now.

April 20, 2014 - Really nice, lots of blackberry fruit, mineral/stones, a touch of brine. As good on day 3 as it was on day 1...has a lot of life left,

February 10, 2013 - Smouldering cedar, toasted marshmallow, strawberry, wet clay, mace and limestone perfumed from the glass. Initially, this tart syrah showed fresh blackberry, crushed cloves and crushed ripe cranberries. Nice backbone with streaks of pencil shavings and soft peat moss. After 1 to 2 hours: caramel, a smear of berry pie and beef coated in wild herbs came forward. Finish is pleasing with a full swoop of the second hand around the clock. Nicely made wine showing restraint in the ripe fruit and oak department.
