December 24, 2021 - Une belle tension. Complexité … longueur impressionnante Dominante beurrée , coing, agrumes, un vin de toute beauté ! Digne de son nom et de sa noble origine…

July 14, 2021 - Interesting. Struggled to place the palate profile.
A touch oxidised style for me?

September 12, 2020 - Dinner hosted by Ashley and Bill...playing the part of somm for the evening, wine from my cellar (Chez Schofiled - Princeton, NJ): Second wine of the evening, with cheeses and meats. From a magnum, chilled. slow oxed for about 45 minutes prior to drinking.

Medium gold/brass color. Interesting nose of pears, white peach, wax, floral notes...PC73s note has "cream soda", which I think captures one of the descriptors...:) Palate of candied citrus, peach, pineapple(?). Medium weight and finish.

Based on some older notes, I am guessing this has put on some weight and added depth in time. Interesting wine to share with the group - most had not had a white Bdx before. Solid pairing with the cheeses

December 9, 2018 - Lovely nose; a winning mix of the honeysuckle, green melon Sauvignon blanc and the honeyed, cantaloupe Semillon. Smelled like more SB than Semillon but it's actually the reverse - around 3/4 Semillon. Less compelling on the palate, thus the score, but frankly for a second wine this is a success.

October 25, 2017 - Always been keen to taste the 2nd label of white Haut Brion / LMHB.
Finally found a shop whom had it on stock and decided to go for the 2010.

First of all, quite interesting to see a higher % of Semillion above the Sauv. Blanc.
It gave the wine quite a greasy and slightly heavy taste to it ( positive though ).
Also, it took quite a lot of time for the wine to unfold its potential. Perhaps decanting ?
With only a couple of glasses to go, the wine deployed its finesse and balance.
Some vanilla, almonds, and at the end quite an interesting salty finish ... nice.

Honestly, this was more a novelty to me and I was glad to be able to finally have tasted one.
Still, when you look at white Pessac, there are more wines out there whom can match this.
Also, with this wine hovering around the 100€ mark, not really value for money ( IMO ).
I would prefer Domaine de Chevalier and Smith Haut Lafitte, which is less money, but same quality.

January 29, 2016 - Elegant on the nose. Sharp, citrus note and some cream soda on the nose.
Pink grapefruit on the palate. Opened up with time in the glass and became more expressive, touch more tropical fruits.
Slightly on the austere side on the finish.
    Very enjoyable.

November 13, 2013 - Honey, pear and a nice waxiness, but a bit deficient in terms of acidity, and short on the finish.

April 21, 2011 - 2010 La Clarte de Haut Brion is the new second wine from Haut Brion Blanc and La Mission Haut Brion Blanc. Blending 83% Semillon with 17% Sauvignon Blanc, this straw colored wine offers scents of lemon wax, honey dew, tropical fruit and lime zest that opens to a sweet, zesty citrus filled blast of flavor. 91-93 Pts
