October 27, 2011 - Quite possibly on the best wine I've ever enjoyed. Balanced in every way, a subdued nose with some mineral, and the most pleasant spice on the palate. I reminded me of itself the first night I'd tasted it but it has matured beautifully!

December 26, 2005 - Dark red fruit in the nose w/ overtones of licorice. Beautiful full rich mouth. Lots of fruit, rounded tanins and a phenomenal finish. A wine to get and lay down for a long while.

June 7, 2005 - Peter Howland visited Chicago last weekend and brought this wine (and a few others) to the Chicago Steak Out. This was my 2nd favorite of the 3 Shiraz he brought. I liked the 2002 Langley Vineyard better. Dark inky red color. It had a bit of a musty nose. Notes of elderberry, underbrush and cocoa. This was served blind and I was kidding Pete that this was definitely a Pinot Noir. There was no way this could be confused with a Pinot and he knew that this was one of his wines. Very nice wine Pete. 89+ points.
