July 9, 2017 - PnP with the first sip being wow. Dense fruit, herbs, espresso. Full bodied, long finish. Just great.

January 28, 2017 - Dark purple/red color. Huge, dark-fruited nose of plum and black cherry. The hedonistic palate is packed with dense plum and black cherry fruit as well as spice and pepper on the finish. Structurally, this wine has a plush mouthfeel and adequate acidity to prevent any flabbiness. The finish is long with palate staining fruit. Overall, this full-bodied wine is exactly what I expected from Booker - ample fruit, plush mouthfeel, and spice notes. Additionally, it hides its 15.2% alcohol quite well.

January 12, 2017 - Really singing right now, explodes from the glass upon opening and just keeps giving. Saturated dark fruit, exotic spice and notes of charcoal/tar are supplemented by classic Booker texture. Tannins have softened but still provide enough grip to make this hit on all cylinders. Some will notice the alcohol but I don't see what all the fuss is about, this is wine after all. Did not decant.
