October 11, 2015 - - Garnet color with medium forming legs.
October 4, 2014 - Better than the last bottle. The vanilla oak has faded, there's still some nice fruit, mostly raspberry. Has a little backbone left. Very pleasant.
January 4, 2014 - Medium wieght bdx blend. Ruby with plum and cassis tones. Moderate acidity with 14% legs. Short, easy and fresh.
November 13, 2013 - warm cherry fruit, good nose, hint of spice, pleasant surprise for a mid-week wine
July 10, 2013 - I've enjoyed several CH wines in the past and becoming more of a fan all the time. I've never tried a non-lot number however so thought I'd give this a try.
Decanted for 25 minutes. Probably should have let it sit longer but I was thirsty. Nose is rich and has a mint/herb note to it that's nice...but also a slight bit of an alcohol smell that worried me.
Medium bodied with plum and sour blackberry notes. Not particularly complex. A bit of a hot wine on first sip but seemed to mellow with a few drinks. Some pepper and tartness at the end. I think I like the aftertaste better than the actual drink of wine. Would be interested in trying this again in another year but only bought one bottle.
Decent QPR but there's better.

March 4, 2013 - Spicy, peppery initially in the mouth. Full flavored without being overpowering. Excellent QPR. This is one I'll buy again.
February 21, 2013 - Good value wine. Not as good as the Cameron Hughes cabs but pretty good for the price.
