November 26, 2013 - I've had this wine a few times now, and each time it does not disappoint. Perhaps it's a matter of managing expectations, which often makes these little unclassed gems more satisfying than their big-gun neighbors. This wine is tired and faded, but satisfying. Recommended.

November 22, 2011 - CdBaH 81st (RDG): This wine exceeded my expectations. A surprisingly good wine that serves the vintage well. Soft, pleasant, and effortless. This is not a wine to be intellectualized and analyzed. This is a wine to enjoy. Fully mature and fading, it offers an excellent evolved nose of earthy tobacco and leather. The fruit has taken a back seat. This wine falls off a cliff on the finish. Drink now and enjoy.

October 6, 2008 - Either a bad bottle, not my kind of wine or way past its time. I believe is the last one. Sour cherry and wet earth on the nose. Overwhelming wet brick, clay and earth on the mouth. Extremely flat with almost no finish. Amazingly, it went well with a skirt steak, but by itself was hardly drinkable. Since it was already bad, I decanted it for 24 hours, no luck. An interesting experience but not a wine you would enjoy.

November 6, 2007 - Drank a magnum with friends last Saturday (3.11.07). Left to breathe for three hours before and then decanted and back into the bottle. Some sediment. Very enjoyable for the first hour or so in the glass and then it died quite quickly. Not bad at all but not brilliant either
