October 27, 2021 - Drinking great. Agree it has more years but fruit is beautiful now. Ridiculous QPR.

September 4, 2021 - Still getting to full maturity but drinking quite well after an hour decant. Great QPR.

September 29, 2020 - Last of ep case. Decanted two hours

At stage where tannins and fruit are in (nearly) perfect balance, a little bit of oak on the back of damson

Reminds me that I was super-impressed by my first cru bourgeois drunk into its twelfth year. When these are on song, they are much more than "a decent village claret" and can last 15 years or more

June 3, 2020 - Classy little claret with cassis and ink. Quite a full package, like it should be, firm tannins, long finnish, this would hold longer.

May 10, 2020 - Dark purple. Nose was earthy, briary, but little fruit. However taste was fully fruity. Fortunately we drink the wine - we don't merely smell it. I disagree with the many of previous commenters - I tasted currents, not cherries, and I also tasted the flavor of damson jam that my mother use to make, and wood (oak?). Pleasing acidity (tannin or volatile acidity?). Medium estery finish. A great example of how well a non-classified Bordeaux can shine in a good vintage. I wish I had bought a case.
