    March 17, 2024 - Purchased in 2015 for €34.
For approaching 14, this is very dark, showing some maturity on the rim. The nose is all richness, maybe chestnuts, dark fruit a bit of earth and some heat.
Richness and extracted in the mouth, but little detail or excitement.
Enjoyable, but clumsy showing its 14.5% alcohol. 91 reflecting what others may think***1/2, not bothered that I only have one more.

March 1, 2024 - From an Imperial bottle. A fragrant bouquet of leather, toasted spices, ripe blackberries and hints of dried oregano. Palate is firm and fresh. A touch more plums on the mid-palate. Medium-bodied. Structure is still tight. Finish is clean but with rough tannins.

January 5, 2024 - 18c: no decant: black-purple, opaque: nose of coffee (touch of brett): aggressive tannins, heavy, but dull fruit: medicinal flavor dominant, likely a defective bottle. Disappointing

September 29, 2023 - Last bottle of 2010. This is really evolved. Tertiary - gravel, tobacco, lead, mushrooms. Great qpr for St Estephe! Still dark purple but not sure this will improve as structure is breaking down. Loved it!

March 12, 2023 - Very deep colour with hardly some browning at the rim. Expansive bouquet with cherries, caramel, chocolate and some funk for extra complexity. Much weight on the palate wifh brown sugar, chocolate, masses of ripe tannines and acid for freshness. Can certainly be kept for another 10 years but is very tasty right now. Excellent quality for the money.
