September 13, 2023 - Was lovely, drunk alongside other wines so the rating is unfairly in that context. Fresh and delicious, good to go now from pop and pour.

September 12, 2023 - At home, with Chicken Provencal. A perfect wine, perfectly ready! Garnet, slightly translucent, hint of amber edge. Decanted two hours. Powerful, complex, unmistakable Bordeaux aromas of cassis, cedar, leather, tobacco. High glycerin, very viscous. Full-bodied but also round and smooth, with soft tannin. The flavors match the aroma and increase on the palate, with an extremely long aftertaste. This will easily last many more years but it can't get any better than perfection!

September 10, 2023 - Clear winner vs the 2010 Pichon Comtesse in its cage fight. What a beauty! Close to perfection and aging will surely help on top of it - my challenge is more on my patience.
This is what I would call a real Pauillac. Lucky for all those like me having more bottles in their cellar - for the others: go out and hunt like there is no tomorrow. A must-have in your cellar!

July 25, 2023 - Just outstanding. Still young and fresh but starting ever so slowly to shed the baby fat. So nice to follow this outstanding wines evolution.

July 12, 2023 - The 2010 Pontet Canet is a wine that’s both dramatic and classical, youngish but with great tension, Laocoon-like, full of dense, cool, intense fruit with the structure and acid to match. The cassis, blackberry, pencil, coal, and mineral notes are classic Pauillac and they linger and linger…
