March 2, 2024 - For me this is at peak maturity - just starting to show a bit of secondary, tannins have started to resolve, lovely fruit still present. For those who like more mature Bordeaux, this may be too young, but I think it's at the sweet spot. Lovely on a cold rainy night.

February 1, 2024 - Very aromatic on opening. No decant but no change over 2 days. The nose is very open and classic Margaux. The palate is a bit underwhelming relative to the nose. Lacks some depth and persistence relative to the aromatics. Nice balance of dark fruit, acidity and tannin. Early drinking window, depending on how much tertiary you want (not much now but has shed its baby fat). Wine 91. Nose 96…settle somewhere in between.

Needs food. I’ve had similar experiences with this producer in other vintages as well. To my palate there are better options near this price point for a more elegant Margaux experience.
