April 18, 2024 - Purplish ruby color. Smells like graphite, dark fruits, mushrooms, damp soil, cedar, and a bit of alcoholic heat. Medium body with a luscious texture, medium (+) acid and finish, with flavors of dark fruits, minerals, spice, lemon, bitter orange peel, and some of that 15% alc showing.

June 28, 2023 - Légèrement brique. Nez puissant sur les fruits noirs, la réglisse, le cuir et le tabac. Riche en étant très sec. Beaucoup de matière sur les mêmes arômes. Tannins encore vigoureux. Bonne longueur sur une finale un peu astringente. Tout un vin musclé en etant à la fois élégant et complexe.

May 20, 2019 - Enjoyed the 2007 very much. This was quite different - bit too jammy, and 15% alcohol. Not much improved on the second day. Maybe an off bottle, but a weak vintage like 2007 seems to have suited the wine making style.

January 16, 2019 - Spices and red fruit, took a bit to open up. Medium body and tannin. Surprisingly light, lighter than any other Bordeaux I've had. Not super deep.

December 29, 2018 - Medium to dark purple with garnet hints. Subtle nose of earthy fruit and some green wood. Palate of cherry earthy spice and solid acid with very fine tannins.
