January 24, 2022 - Holding up better than some other vintages of LVC that I've tried recently. Good fruit density up front with coarse, chunky tannins. However, the finish is notably short. Could perhaps be very mild TCA as I've had a number of corked wines from this Chateau. I'd worry about longevity here and would drink sooner rather than later.
January 21, 2022 - Decanted 30min. Great profile of dark cherries, blueberries, graphite, cedar, and leather. Tannins were solid but not dominant.
December 8, 2021 - Excellent!
October 12, 2021 - Last tasted 3 years ago, this is now at the later end of its peak drinking window, and I agree with Purple Tooth that it is time to be consuming this before it starts to decline. This is ready straight from the bottle now and everything is integrated and silky smooth, but with a hint of tannin underpinning it all. Some faint harsher notes are starting to appear on the finish which will probably accentuate with further age. This is probably one of the best value wines I have purchased over the last couple of decades and has always punched way above its weight. 91+
October 11, 2021 - Drink up kids!
June 10, 2021 - Solid mid-week drinker. Continues to get better with age.
May 30, 2021 - Consistent with prior notes - has aged very well - didn't take good notes - dark cherry, chocolate, currants and leather - same on nose & palate. 91++
May 9, 2021 - Decanted and served. Really a big wine still, dense fruit showing plum, dark berries, cassis and wood. Smooth and a little slick, for lack of a better word. Lots of fruit and tannins resolving still, this may still improve with more cellar time. Nice food wine, especially beef.
May 5, 2021 - Consistent with previous notes
May 1, 2021 - I'm used to more fruit in this Bordeaux.
