November 3, 2023 - Grand Jury du Vin - Republic of Georgia; 11/1/2023-11/9/2023 (Republic of Georgia then stopover in Paris and Dijon): Wine 30 – Surmaturite, very ripe black fruit, truffle, mocha, sweet spices. Rich, silky, very good balance, and precision. The 'Surmaturite' note is so unique that I guessed correctly.
Afterthought – This was very controversial, and I was in the minority in loving it.
August 13, 2023 - Deep garnet. Concentrated nose of cherry, plums, leather, and vanilla. Full-bodied, with smooth tannin and low acidity. The mouthfeel is so smooth and juicy that reminds me of New England IPA. The finish is long, fruity, with notes of mountain hawthorn and cigarrette, but a bit too sweet. The style of this wine is so unique that I feel difficult to rate it.
The 2012 vintage I tasted last year makes me feel it tried its best to be gorgeous, but this 2010 is definitely a born beauty.
August 7, 2023 - From magnum….It was difficult to give a final score. the fruit is exuberant and silky, and even in this vintage the tannins are well judged and harmonious, classic merlot and classic TR. I’d give it a higher score except that 15.5% alcohol can’t quite hide itself in the finish
August 7, 2023 - Blind. Enorm frukt, lett brent, ok syre, men tydelig alkohol i finish, mye av alt og vanskelig å vurdere. Dette grenser mot Amarone.
May 26, 2023 - One hour decant …. very energetic and engaging from
First pour. Loads of spice acid fruit earth and sun. Calmed down after an hour or two. Amazing and lovely exciting and fresh. Not your typical right bank.
June 21, 2022 - Medium deep ruby. Robust nose of black fruits with licorice. Dry, bright acidity, grainy tannins, palate follows through. Medium body. Good balance. Medium finish. Can rest.
December 31, 2021 - nez serré de mine de crayon et graphite, noir. montre après aération une énorme concentration et grande amplitude. intègre parfaitement dans son corps la verticalité des arômes: aucun excès ni fausse note. grande classe. jette pour moi une nouvelle lumière sur cette rive que je goutais peu jusque là.

After 2.5 Hours: Similar but slightly more muted on the nose yet with greater presence, intensity, grip and persistence on palate; for what it is, truly excellent
April 16, 2021 - 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc från St Emilion
Börjar få aningens, aningens teglad kant.
I doften de finaste mörka körsbärspralinerna doppade i mörk choklad, grafit, lakrits, mocha, läder, tobak, järn, kryddor. Stor komplex doft. Finns även en klar vanilj/rostat ton som visar att eken inte är helt integrerad ännu.
I munnen oerhört balanserat trots 15,5% alkohol. Saftig mörkröd frukt. Mycket tanniner men de är förvånansvärt sammetslena, men visst finns det ett strävt grepp fortfarande. Full bodied med krämig, tuggig konsistens. Väldigt lång finish med mörka körsbär. Avslutar lite strävt. Här kan man snacka om ett hedonistiskt, sexigt vin. Stort men samtidigt elegant.
December 17, 2020 - Really great wine. Decanted for 2 hours, wonderful complexity. Will mature well over the coming 15 years.
