October 21, 2012 - I am glad that this is my last bottle. The fruit is totally faded. Some interesting stuff on the nose like chocalate and cigar box but the pallet is totally disjointed with acid dominating.

August 1, 2012 - Nose. Black cherries, prunes, dark plums, notes of new leather, cassis de Dijon, geranium. Hints of tobacco, green olives. Opens up to strong aromas of brewed coffee and dry earth. Notes of cigar ash.
Palate. Cranberry acidity and fruit. Sour cherries (that soften up with airing). Cigar ash!! Slightly metallic finish. The length of the finish is extraordinary.
A very complex wine that is still very expressive. If you can pair the sour cherries and cigar ash with some tasty meat and spices/herbs, this wine could offer a great experience. The balance leans slightly towards acidity. -

December 11, 2009 - Bricking in colour and perfect time to drink. Funky almost burgindian-like nose, smooth fruit with nice sour cherries finish.

June 22, 2009 - Starting to take on a brownish hue. Some real sweetness on the nose with aromas like cinnamon and sandlewood. Sharp acidity on the palate, maybe a bit too much considering the sweetness that makes me wonder about the addition of acid. Good length but time to drink up.
