January 15, 2023 - Blown away by how good this was, classic stem floral Dujac aromatics and more red fruited structure than you'd expect from the vintage.

December 31, 2016 - Mature Burgundy nose, damp soil, mushrooms, leather, spice, floral notes. This bottle really blossomed after 2 hours into a very enjoyable experience, Surprisingly much better than anticipated for the vintage.

September 28, 2016 - Opened late into an evening full of wines and this came out of nowhere with an extremely impressive showing. Highly expressive aromatics of drying red berry fruit, dusty leathers, and fresh cut hay. Stalky and strawy to be sure, but in a unique and enjoyable way. Palate was both sweet and savoury with maturing cherry, soy, and jerky. Heavily earth driven with damp soil and mushroom. More typical Echezeaux the typical Dujac if you had to choose, but sort of an odd duck all around that happened to have a very on night. Would buy again.

February 12, 2015 - Dujac dinner at Jade Palace. First of the 8 Dujac Grand Crus, this was going to be a long and fascinating event. Seemed very advanced on appearance. Heavy browning. Nose had lots of barnyard, Indian spices, sour cherries and earth. Palate had some hints of existing red fruit like cherries and plums, but there was lots of secondary flavour like earth, mushrooms, forest floor, old leather and wood. I wouldn't say this was a flawed bottle, but not too exciting on the night.
