November 19, 2017 - A little jarring, heavy oak and chemical nose. improved after short decant. Syrupy, but kinda fun. Try long decant next time.
January 24, 2016 - Poured out the first glass. Maybe it was my palate. It improved. Day two it's a pleasant, ripe, acidic wine. Very simple. Fair qpr.
September 19, 2014 - rated flawed last time, but still meh...
July 5, 2014 - Perfect right now. It has lost just a bit of the jaminess, which is good. It is now smooth all the way through.
February 9, 2014 - The last time I reviewed thus wine was November 2012 and it was not very good. Just found this bottle hiding in the celler and I am impressed. It has some nice fruit up fruit and enough tannis to guy it good mouth feel and structure. Very smooth with good finish. Now I wish I had more. If you have any drink it now.
October 8, 2013 - Major muddled fruit bomb. Did not get much more out of it beyond the ripe muddled berries. Was hoping for more nuances. Zero tannins. I have one more bottle of this vintage and I hope I change my mind after I drink it, but for this go around, it just seems like I was drinking a mixed berry jam.
March 19, 2013 - Beautifull purple color, nice nose full with fruit, good finish no bite. My second bottle is couple of month and both went well even after couple of days...obvs after pumping out air and refgerating!!
February 27, 2013 - Dark inky purple. Smoky, toasty with blackberries & cassis. Just deep and oaky with a massive load of tannins. Round & fruit driven. For the price it was good.
February 7, 2013 - This will be for me, an odd review. I like this wine, but I can not exactly say why. Very dark, highly concentrated, full in the mouth flavor that lingers long after the wine is consumed. Not smokey, but yet a hint of smoke, not fruity, but still a hint of dark fruit. It's like a mystery wrapped in an enigma that coates the palate.
I'll buy it again to do more research - Cheers!
December 15, 2012 - This inky red purple wine has a nose of leather, black pepper, and cherries. It is smooth with not a lot of tannin on the mouth. It is fairly smooth to drink, yet there are no components that make me yearn for sip after sip of it. I seem to remember previous vintages to be much more enjoyable.
