August 26, 2023 - Purchased from the winery. Initially I was getting a lot of cooked vegetable DMS notes but as it opens in the bottle that is blowing off. Open for about 3.5 hours at this point; really should have been decanted but I don’t really trust any of the pitcher-shaped objects in this Airbnb are clean lol. Anyway, this is definitely new world; nose is ripe, almost raisinated, all fruit (mostly preserved), maybe a hint of savory green herbs. Palate brings a little more interest; clay, char, earth, licorice, a little bit of a minty aftertaste. Tannins still quite strong but smooth, still enough acidity to hold it all together. I doubt this is going to get more exciting, and I probably wouldn’t run out and buy more, but it did pair nicely with smoked chicken and stargazing on a clear night.
August 9, 2022 - Still very drinkable. A bit musty. Good fruit and acidity. Bold, typical cab suavignon.
November 29, 2020 - Positively surprised. My last, but best bottle so far. Actually beyond expected drinking window. Nose with very strong cassis, on palate less strong, but with continuing fruit, hint of leather, quite some raisin and wood. Tannins by now very well integrated.
June 19, 2020 - 30+ months later: Still has good dark fruit, framed by leather, tobacco and a bit of dust. Also showing a not unpleasant hint of bitterness. Quite enjoyable over three nights.
April 12, 2020 - Still beautiful with my beef. But needs food. 90 seems about right. Very good QPR.
April 11, 2020 - Nose with strong cherry, resinous wood. On palate hardly any fruit, but very strong wood and resin. Still drinkable, but quite one dimensional.
February 28, 2020 - This is my 5th bottle and i just think they get better with every bottle. Dark chocolate, vanilla and some herbs. Nice lenght and good complexity at a stellar price of about 23 €. Has some age-tones i really enjoyed. I wish i would have bought more when they where availible here. 90 P
December 26, 2019 - Fylligt, mörka frukter, kakao, lite örter?, torkad frukt. Ff bra syra. Passade bra till ryggbiff! Men även gott utan maten.
December 14, 2019 - Nice complex, well integrated mix of cigar box and cassis. Perhaps a hint of pepper and mint. Time has completely removed the vanilla.Fine tannins. Originally peaking now but definitely has several years left.
December 2, 2019 - A ton of black currant, bit of chocolate, even noted some vanilla notes. Still some tannins, however feels like it will be downhill from here. Enjoyed it!
