  August 12, 2011 - Very pale orange/pink in color; rather pretty. Sniffing this blind I might come up with 'Alsace,' which sort of goes along with the Pinot Gris theme here. Bold aromas of citrus and white fruit. Tart citrus with orange-flesh melon on the palate and ample acidity. Clean; crisp (I see that's a popular descriptor for this wine); quenching; a hint of stones in the finish. Quite tangy. Builds and builds on the nose and palate if given a bit of time. Nice.

  July 17, 2011 - Perfect for eating outside on a hot summer night -so much (about the enjoyment of wine) depends on the food, setting and friends - I made the mistake of opening up some older white burgs which did not fit with the heat. At a table under the trees with the heat and sounds of evening, everyone went for this wine, chilled and ready for the setting. The older wines, while mostly excellent were so out of place and difficult to enjoy without an active effort to disregard the place. One realizes why good dry rose' fits so perfectly in the Provencal summer.
