December 4, 2021 - Tasted the 2010 alongside the 2009. Both decanted at the same time for 4 hours. The 2010 is not quite ready (well, for me), still rather tannic but feel it has more potential than the 2009. The 2009 is drinking now and four hours is sufficient for it to open up. Very enjoyable, most likely approaching its peak. So, the 2009 gets 90 points and the 2010 gets 92. I would rather drink the 2009 Talbot which is at the same price point.

November 25, 2021 - Similar to the last bottle but my lord is this good. A rich, smooth and silky berry assault precedes some really quite pretty feminine herbal notes. This will very clearly be delicious in various forms for decades but is genuinely great now. I have plenty but I suspect many will not see full maturity.

October 31, 2021 - Lovely, dark colour, a punch of dark fruit, very good bitter and tannins, only in the midtaste the wine needs a bit more concentration, so give this wine some years of development.

July 12, 2021 - Blind Bordeaux - Tipplers Tasting Group (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA): Tasted blind. Incorrectly identified as an older (10-15-year-old) Margaux.

Deeper garnet, light bricking; Really intoxicating nose of cassis, dried herbs, leather; Elegant, refined tannins that leave a refreshing note of plush cherries and mint lingering in the mouth. Screams class.
