March 24, 2018 - Really impressed with the youth of this wine. Mostly cab blend from Cayuse. This wine was very silky, rounded. I didn't have enough of this one to get a good grasp of it, and by the time I went back for another sample of it there wasn't too much left. I remember more of a classic blackberry front, a hint of dark chocolate. Washington cabs can really be an unpredictable thing (at least with my palate) but this one was pretty solid. Finished with resolved, softer tannin structure although I think this one still has a few years of life left before it heads downhill. I would have never guessed this was a 2002.

December 1, 2014 - At Miller's Guild. Tobacco, kirsch and blackberry pie. More overtly ripe and roasted than the previous bottle.

November 15, 2014 - Shared in San Jose. No sign of fading, just great secondary development and a bit of pleasant funk. Didn't decant but noted that the wine seemed to get younger and brighter as we got further into the bottle. A *great* showing for aged WA wine.

September 9, 2013 - A solid cab, fading a bit. Ripe and slightly grapey nose, beautiful smooth mid-palate, a few secondary characteristics. By no means dead, but no need to wait.

March 10, 2013 - Nice but fading. Secondary flavors showing more than the fruit.
