December 25, 2012 - Christmas Day 2012 (Walnut Creek, Ca.): Nose of mild barnyard, black cherry, raspberry, and earth, same on the palate, big body, tasty, at peak, lovely fruit, mouth filling fruit, paired with roasted chicken, went well together, long finish.

December 25, 2012 - In line with earlier bottles. Not bad, but for the terroir and the vintage disappointing. A wasted opportunity really. Luckily this sort of mediocrity is on the decline in Burgundy.

April 13, 2009 - The producer has one of the best holdings in Clos Vougeot. Producing a diluted, bland, uninteresting wine like this in a vintage like 1999 is nothing short of a disgrace.
