January 15, 2022 - Definitely not at peak. I would say there is still 5-10 years left. Great deep garnet color. Not a lot of legs. Silky tannins. Still had the fresh fruit of a younger wine but the back notes suggest an older mature wine. May have lost some of the Cab spice. But a very fruit forward and powerful wine.

December 31, 2021 - When first opened, the wine had aromas and flavors of olives, smoke, and meat. Indeed, if tasted blind, I would have mistaken it for a Rhone! After being opened for an hour, the wine put on weight and developed much more of a cabernet characteristic. In my opinion, the wine has not peaked yet. It is still dark in color with little legs, and still has a good amount of tannin, acid, and fruit. Secondary characteristics were not prominent. At this stage, I'm not convinced that the wine will ever merit its perfect 100-point Parker score.

November 25, 2021 - OK, had this a while back and was unimpressed. Way earthy and very questionable. Popped and decanted and v'd as cork did not come out well! This wine as so good it was quite remarkable. Silky is about all I can say and an hour in fruit expressed itself nicely along with smooth and silkiness. A+. Drink now.

November 19, 2021 - Fortunate to taste with friends! Spectacular wine! At prime! Decant for sure. Drink within 5 years

November 18, 2021 - I agree with JSMorris’ review. Needs an hour to open, still massive but well balanced, likely in or near prime with at least a decade left. Lived up to the reputation and professional reviews. Revisit 2025

drank w/ Ben and Alex on Cape w/ pork rib and tenderloin, some berries and maybe earthy. We enjoyed it but after spending the afternoon tasting at Viader this was almost too much wine., steak Diane, Was quite nice--decanted 2 hours before and rebottled and took to restaurant. Nice nose
