December 5, 2019 - A good bottle after the last one was oxidized. Citrus, honey, white flowers, and oranges on the nose. Good acidity and balance with more of the same flavors on the palate. Nice finish.

November 29, 2019 - This bottle lacked the spine , structure and cut of the last one. Still all the classic Huet elements present but not a complete wine on this night

November 10, 2019 - Recent comments about premox issues scared me a bit so I decided to open my bottle.
No issues with this bottle. Strong pear and apple taste, some honey and bergamote notes. Wine is quite intense and dense. Not a bone dry sec wine with an initial sugary weight but a strong acidity brightens the wine. Good length and great wine.

Super vin.

October 19, 2019 - First bottle from a case bought at release and professionally stored until 6 months ago when I took it out of bond.

Wow! This is delicious already minutes after decanting and only gets better with time. Lovely nose of white flowers, honey, citrus and tropical fruits. Also some iron and chalk. On the palate very much alive with zippy acids that balance the rich, detailed fruit and touch of waxy vanilla. Also quite spicy with mint and basil, hints of smoke and salt. The minerality becomes more pronounced towards the finish where they mingle with lemon and sweet peach. Very, very good. Way above expectations!

September 8, 2019 - Medium yellow. Classic pear and yellow apple. Off dry, not as austere as true sec can be. Some glycerine but not particularly generous texture due to back end minerality. Pure and very fresh with spice laden fruit. I definitely don't sense the screaming level of acidity that I did 6 years ago. Excellent and solidly within its drinking window.

(Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec) Residual sugar 9 g/l, alcohol 13.5%. This is much more substantial than Le Haut Lieu, which seemed rather more pretty on the nose. Instead there is polished limestone substance here. There follows a lovely palate, forceful, and the acidity seems brighter even though the figures suggest it is very slightly lower. Lovely brightness to the fruit overall. This is a lovely wine, just brimming with potential.
