January 21, 2024 - Last one in the cellar. Need to reload.

January 21, 2024 - The 2010 d’Agassac was also showing red berries with nice acidity and a fine mineral finish and dusty tanins still on board.

  • Thefatbastard Likes this wine:

December 14, 2023 - Dans une belle fenêtre. Nez discret sur le cassis, le graphite. Belle attaque puisante, du fruits noirs, des tannins enrobés. Beaucoup de matière. Notes secondaires qui pointent à peine. Très longue vie devant.

3ieme jour: a à peine bougé. De la réglisse noir. Toujours une main de fer.

October 14, 2023 - Significant improvement over earlier bottles (esp March 2022). Now quite enjoyable, while not the most complex of wines. Nose fairly muted, but picking up dark cassis and some graphite. Palate has dark red fruit, some graphite, a certain acidity that hints towards red grapes, but also, and missing in earlier bottles, an attractive finish that mellows the acidity and goes on for quite a while with more red fruits and soft tannins. With hindsight, previous bottle was not to say the wine was over the hill, instead a lot of bottle variation going on.

October 14, 2023 - This wine was a new addition and wanted to try it tonight, it was a full-bodied and a good blend of tannins and fruit. I could taste some wild berries, blueberries, and minerality. It needed some time to open it up, overall a good value and will taste the other bottles in a few years and let you know how it ages.
