    June 3, 2019 - Impressive!

October 21, 2017 - lots of mineral. Not a lot of fruit or “fun” but very serious. Not sure how I feel about it... the Pierre Peters tasted like lively, energetic sunshine after this, which then became a heavy brooder to recall.

July 12, 2013 - Ripe stone fruit, sweet spice, mineral on the nose
On palate is rich, ripe, opulent. Poached spiced pear flavour with long creamy texture. Little a bit flabby

March 29, 2013 - Gorgeous wine with energetic elegance, roundness & balance. Sumptious lemon custard, crisp Red Delicious apple, nice schisty minerality, hint of marzipan around an intoxicating brioche. Like a visit to a great French patisserie while sipping a Leflaive Batard! Nice length and good finesse makes this a profound under $60 champagne. Very impressive.

(Chartogne-Taillet "Cuvée Fiacre Taillet") ($78.00) Less “toppy” than the vintage, and more integrated than either the ’00 or ’02, this vibrates on a high frequency, trebly and silky but a bit arch at the moment, and needs to calm down. It has the sweet-sour spice of fusion-y desserts. There’s potential here, but this sample was clouded by flavor-static.
