June 10, 2015 - This was just lovely, with good purity to the palate, nice balance, good dark fruit. Silky mouthfeel, good balance. Very satisfying, especially at the price.

March 25, 2015 - Lovely juice for a Bourgogne. The nose is filled with fresh cherry, raspberry, floral hints, and a really nice earthy/barny funk (not too much, just enough to be appealing. The palate is fresh, bright, and filled with crunchy red fruits and a nice acidity that keeps this very energetic. Not a ton of depth or a stellar finish, but really quite tasty and for the level and given todays Burgundy market I would consider this a value. Wish I had bought moreā€¦

October 16, 2013 - I really enjoyed this Bourgogne. Very light on its feet, good purity to the palate, silky tannins, good aromatics. The fruit has a very nice inner sweetness, almost candy-like. The palate does not have much depth, and the finish is somewhat short, but it's a Bourgogne and one needs to understand that going in.

February 21, 2013 - 2009 Bourgogne (mainly rouge) (Club Gascon, Smithfield, London): Medium/deep ruby. Very youthful, red cherry, bilberry. Medium bodied on the palate, dark fruited with a slight gamey edge, refined tannins, touch of herb on the medium/good length finish. Very good. 85-87.

September 1, 2012 - After some heavy high alcohol cabs with the boys this was exactly the detour I needed....some fresh cut floral notes, hints of earth, soft red fruits and some game...on the palate, great shiitake dipped earthy strawberries and spice, the acidity is assertive carrying all the flavor on its shoulders...very classic...a beautiful drink...a great entry level intro to Montille $30

June 15, 2012 - Gorgeous nose - classic Burgundy with lots of spice, earth and darker fruit aromas. Long on the palate and finished smooth. This is quintessential Burgundy.

March 23, 2012 - The Wines of Burgundy Seminar (The Wine Country, Signal Hill, CA): Seemed a little restrained compared to the boisterous 2010 Delarche Pernande-Vergelesses tasted just before, but impeccably pure and balanced. Very fine Bourgogne, though a little pricey at $35. Just a baby - should probably give this a few years to open up.
