September 14, 2014 - Very light and reminds me of cru Beaujolais.
August 25, 2013 - Mineral and ash/smoke aromas at PnP. I'll let this blow off a bit.
Day 2, still pretty chilly having come out of the fridge from over night, but already a more appealing nose of crystal cherry and mineral. Like Cristal Pepsi. Transparency. Not un-Kool-Aid-like, but again, I used to be part of his posse.
December 31, 2012 - Better with a few hours of air. This bottle did have a nice tart finish as well a nice earthy nose.
November 14, 2012 - Decanted in glass for 45 minutes- decent wine- minor amount of heat on tail end. Medium bodied. Below average finish- zero typical burg tart finish with a below average rated finish. Overall- good valued wine- easy to drink.
September 28, 2012 - After opening it was pretty tight. Mostly mineral and not much fruit on the nose. After two hours cherry flavors and aromas started to appear.
September 11, 2012 - Quite fine for the price. Subtle mineral pinot taste. Good for food pairings.
July 23, 2012 - Initially very tight. Eventually (2 hrs) opened up to reveal cherry stone. Nice wine. Just enough acidity to pair well with food. Went good with sausages and cabbage.
May 26, 2012 - 13.0% alcohol. Red cherry color. Initially tight nose but opened up to show cherry stone, black cherry, and a distinctly earthy streak. In the mouth, linear and a bit rustic, with good tart cherry fruit, a light mineral streak, earthy notes, and strong acidity and back-end tannin. After being open for several hours, the cherry side of the wine became more prominent and the palate smoothed out a bit. Probably worth giving this another year or two to integrate, and it could really be a pretty value. B
May 19, 2012 - This pinot is not exceptional but is quite good with food. It is light and a bit fruity as you would expect. We drank it with a French summer supper and enjoyed it. I am not sure we would go out of our way to buy it again.
April 9, 2012 - One of the best bourgognes I've had, especially at this price point. Pretty typical in flavor, perhaps a touch too much acid for me, but overall excellent for a bourgogne.
