December 26, 2017 - Solid, pleasurable, mellowed and balanced. Still in great condition, fruit and tannins have mellowed. Served with Christmas dinner (turkey) and very well received. Wish I had a few more.
October 7, 2016 - Delightful. Mature. Not much oak.
July 16, 2015 - Seemed closed at first. openned up a light on second night. certainly a good wine but note tasted at it best.
May 13, 2014 - This opened up beautifully in the glass. Sweet black cherry, marzipan, herbaceous elements, coffee, meaty and savoury. More complex than I'd anticipated and really delicious. Decent value for Burgundy.
January 26, 2014 - A touch of bottle variation here, this wine being much rounder and fuller than the previous one last week. A touch of plums, celery salt, tangy red fruit. Decent enough for £20 although I'd be inclined to find value elsewhere. I like Burgundy, but it struggles at this price and this lacks a sense of place.
January 17, 2014 - This is too young right now to broach - very punchy, tangy red fruit that tastes a little cheap at first. 2 hours in a decanter loosens this up a bit but only into Bourgogne level quality. Tannic now - not sure where this is going. Cost me £20 and I'm not sure I'm exactly cool with that. Lacks pretty much everything including potential that could not be provided in cheaper Bourgogne level booze.
July 22, 2013 - Delicious, fruity, vibrant yet delicate, youthful, lovely modest - and affordable - red Burgundy.
July 24, 2012 - Very nice to sip on the first day, but not great the second day.
Very good bargin for the price
July 3, 2011 - Real vivacity and clean, beautifully perfumed fruit. Some tannins, good length. A absolute pleasure to drink, more please...
June 20, 2011 - Burgundy Monday--20 juin 2011: Really cool Nuits funk on the nose. Mostly dark fruit and rich tannic concentration. Would be a crowd-pleaser but I prefer the Beaune.
