April 7, 2024 - Remarkably fresh and full of luscious fruit. This wine is stunning, and it is impressive to consider how it has evolved and held up for 14 years. Lush and full of life, with just the right touch of savory notes undergirding the entire enterprise. This one is special, and I feel lucky to have sampled it at this moment and at this time.

March 30, 2024 - This bottle (1.5L) was not as good as others. It was slightly sour with overpowering fruit. I'm tempted to immediately open one of my 750s to compare.

March 22, 2024 - Currently drinking at perfection. If you have any of these……. enjoy it now. Two hours aeration yields an unbelievable smoothness.

March 11, 2024 - Much better than I expected, this is about the best bottle of this wine I have had since a 1998 I enjoyed a few years ago. Everything seems to be in balance and harmony, highly drinkable. Unfortunately this was my only bottle.

February 25, 2024 - 30 min slow ox and 2 hour decant. Drinking young with lots of red raspberry fruit. Hints of some herbal notes but I wouldn't say this was particularly savory at the moment. Medium+ body, medium acidity and nicely present, but refined, tannins. Glad to have several more bottles so that I can follow development which I expect will show greater complexity over the next 10 years, maybe more. Served with homemade cassoulet and chestnut mont blanc for dessert - paired beautifully with both!

February 17, 2024 - Right at the top of its game. Great fruit and flavor. Showing maturity but not past its prime. A splendid, properly aged Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

January 14, 2024 - Very good and ready to go. Popped and slow-oz'd over about an hour after arriving at a friend's for dinner. Lovely deep ruby color, no sign of age. Beautiful nose of fruit and garrigue. Medium+ bodied on the palate, great freshness, impeccably balanced. Nice tart acidity. Long finish. Just like that it was gone... Paired beautifully with braised lamb shanks. Many happy years ahead for this one. Glad I have another, might seek more. First 2010 in a bit for me, one of my favorite Rhone vintages ever.
