June 3, 2022 - Out with a bang? This last of our 750s takes 30 minutes to shed some of its cottony structure and come into its own as a nice wine with with a good presentation. I wouldn’t call it a beauty but it is nice.

August 13, 2021 - PnP. Medium red. Lovely floral nose of lavender and red fruits. Good weight on the palate with lovely mature sweet red fruit flavors. Finishes with a touch of acidity to keep it all in balance. Nice showing at age 12.

April 18, 2021 - Subsequent notes on this wine from several years ago. Dark ruby red in color with no obvious signs of aging. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & blueberries with overtones of spice notes of cardamom, nutmeg & cloves & floral notes of violets, earthy/dusty notes, minerals, cherry-cola & a slight hint of vanilla. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, herbs, earthy, some cherry-cola notes, minerals & a hint of vanilla. Lingering smooth finish. Drinks quite well at present & at 12 years of age may be at its peak of development but should hold for a few more years if stored properly. Cork was clean & intact; fill was up in the neck.

August 28, 2020 - Better than meh but still don’t know what to make of it. Lots of fleshy structure that’s surrounded by a good nose and a good length.

Save the last 750 until... 2024?

June 7, 2020 - Still my least favorite of the 2009s but this bottle is subtle and sweet in many aspects and... pleasing.
