October 13, 2020 - Still drinking well, tannins are fully integrated at this point, no need to keep any longer , not over the hill but will not improve from here.

December 18, 2016 - Still vibrant classic CA cab. Dark fruit up front with plenty of tannins still on finish

November 13, 2016 - Wonderful accompaniment to hearty meal. Subtle nose of dark fruit gave way to some graphite and still long finish

March 24, 2016 - Brought with us to Seared 1200 Chop House in St. Pete Beach. Gave this about 45 minutes of air time while we waited for our steaks, and that seemed to be enough. Surprisingly young-looking for its age - a dark, semi-opaque maroon in color, right up to the edge - with no bricking at all. Classic Napa Cab nose of crushed dark fruits, earth, cassis and a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied, but not at all heavy or over done. This is an "old school" Napa Cabernet in style. Still showed plenty of luscious plum, black cherry and dark currant fruit, with very good depth and focus. There's a vibrant acidity to this, which gives it a lively, energetic mouth feel. Finishes long, with grippy tannins that seem fully integrated, along with pretty hints of oak, black licorice and spice. Not as rich and doesn't offer the phenomenal depth and length of the Mondavi Reserve Cabernet - but still outstanding, very delicious - and only about half the price.
