July 24, 2023 - Dinner at Triple Crown (Chicago, IL): Slightly bretty and showing a little off from some oxidative notes. Feels mature, but the tannins are slightly bitter as well. A disappointing showing for the vintage.

March 30, 2020 - Mycket vacker doft som falnat något dag tre. Tillräckligt tryck i smak och tanniner för att det ska klara sig utmärkt mot en rätt kraftig lammbog.

Doft: Frukt - röda bär - hallonkärnor, körsbär (lite). Fat - choklad, svart te. Blommor - döda rosor. Ålder - höstlöv.
Utveckling: Väl moget. Kommer det att hända så mycket mer kul här?

Torrt/sött: Torrt.
Syra: Hög.
Tanniner: Finkorniga men högst märkbara.
Alkohol: Väl integrerad (14 procent).
Fyllighet: Medel–.
Smakstyrka: Medel.
Smak: Frukt - röda bär - jordgubbar, hallon, körsbär. Ålder - läder.
Textur/balans/bubblighet: Nej.
Eftersmak: Diskret men rätt lång, trevlig liten beska och choklad.
SLUTSATSER
Kvalitet: Mycket bra.
Drickabilitet: Moget.
Geografi: Barolo.

January 28, 2019 - Decanted for ~3 hours. A fairly muddled and heavy Nebbiolo. Nose was non-delineated with some black fruit, licorice and tar. Palate was pretty heavy and brooding. Not all that generous or interesting. All and all, a disappointing bottle from a producer I don't often drink.
