May 28, 2015 - Still youthful and fresh with many years of potential. Perhaps a bit too subtle and medium plus levels of acid, bright strawberry and cherry juice on the nose and palate.
December 6, 2011 - Drinking great. Rustic, grilled meat, some forest floor and some fresh fruit still evident. Full bodied but tannins mostly resolved and well integrated. Could possibly improve over the next few years. Very enjoyable.

November 18, 2008 - Vertical Marion Winemakers Dinner (Il Grappolo Blu (CPH)): On the nose it is clearly open for buissness :-) Sweet dark plums mixed with cedar and an impressive freshness.
The fruit has slightly faded on the palate but it seems very fresh and elegant. The acidity is nicely balanced together with the still very primary fruit.
This wine is all about elegance and balance. Excellent wine.
August 16, 2008 - A very well-made, elegant Valpolicella. Not quite as rich and dark in color as some bottle I had two or three years ago but still has attractive aromas of dried red fruits and spices with medium-bodied, silky fruit. Drink up!
February 22, 2008 - Had this with homemade marinara and meatballs. It has an immediate Italian nose, lots of red fruits, soft tannins, silky, more of dried cherry flavor yet not a dry taste.
July 30, 2007 - With veal chops. Very easy to drink. Minimal tannin. Dark fruit. Love dark nose. A real pleasure.
May 16, 2006 - Drank at Otto NYC, great right out of the bottle. Crisp to the nose. Light but not lacking and it actually became more robust as dinner went on, great with the menu!
