June 28, 2015 - A very reliable and steady wine. Purchased 4 years ago, I just finished the last bottle of a case. Consistent and still improving, it is a classic: well made and a true partner with food, possessing a balance in every respect. Not dynamic, not pretentious, a lingering fruit and minerality in mid palate and finish. Delicious. Cannot say enough about the skill it took to make it: a lovely medium bodied chardonnay, putting to shame many of the supposedly "bigger" more prestiguous appellations whose wines do not come tgogether. Slightly buttery, clear and golden, a tantillazingly light citrus. Not easys to find, enjoy it if you can. Recommended for mature audiences

March 9, 2015 - Well balanced acidity, yellow notes like apples, butter and a hint of honey in both nose and palate, well balanced oak, pleasant mouth feel. Great balance and structure!

This is a really good wine!

January 11, 2013 - The wine looks Yellow colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like and Peach blossom. It tastes like and Vanilla. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Bright texture. The wine finishes Short. Plenty of acid but not out of balance.

July 1, 2011 - Prickly acidity, slight heat but drinking well. Sharper acidity with focused white stonefruits and white nectarines. Some thyme and sage. A bit of wafer creaminess at the end. Good complexity

June 19, 2011 - Linear, focused, pure. Yhis wine had amazing white flowers/light fruit, a tinge of grapefruit or grass, minerality and acidity enough to carry it for a long time. Very enjoyable, refreshing, and the best chardonnay I've had this year.

May 15, 2011 - Burgundy 2011, Day 0 (Beaune): Wow - this was really surprising. Excellent stuff, even better than an already surprisingly Macon from Lafon. Really nice nose, a bit reserved, with an elegant touch of oak, sweet appley scents, pears, white flowers and some fresh herby notes - almost like sprigs of thyme and sage, and just the lightest hint of mineral. Again, there was a sense of 2009 ripeness on the bouquet, but this was pretty well controlled. There was a lovely feel on the palate, with well-integrated acidity giving a lovely sense of poise and balance, good body with plenty of depth, and rather delicious white fruited notes with bits of citrus. The finish weighed in with just a twist of oak, sprinkled of spice and almond nuts at the very end sprinkled with a bit of spice. This was a notch up fro the Macon - more complex, more structured than the Macon. Excellent stuff.
