April 1, 2018 - Very good after a couple hours to open up. It is now past its prime though
May 1, 2016 - Past its prime
June 4, 2015 - full smooth and delicious. Long finish. Old world. Well integrated

October 11, 2014 - prune. worst example of barolo. past, color detached from rim. rough tannins. saved this bottle to age for years. concerned it may never have been.
December 25, 2012 - I enjoyed this immensely
September 30, 2011 - This is probably not a fair grade and was going to give it 87 after first glass. Opened the wine, poured into decanter, then drank 1/2 hour later. It was rather boring and simple. But then I slowed down drinking (probably because it was not that great) and then had a second glass 1.5 to 2 hours after opening. The last 1/2 of the second glass was a 91 - 92 point Barolo. Then I kicked myself for drinking it too early. The moral of the story --> never drink Barolo without giving it time to open otherwise you will be kicking yourself.
September 18, 2011 - tight on opening, opened over the evening. Enjoyable, but no notes taken...
July 10, 2011 - Not sure I can add much to what had been said but will try. At 10 years old this is drinking very very well. Gave it about an hour to open up and it was terrific. There is a savory aspect to this wine that I really loved. Drank half the bottle and finished it the next night with no drop off. Highly reccommend.
December 18, 2010 - Young Barolo vs. Brunello; 12/18/2010-12/19/2010 (Haslams House): 6/7 people preferred the Poggio Antico to this wine. On nose, very fruit (cherry / black cherry) dominant - almost new world. Palate was more restrained with cherry and earthy elements. Medium body with medium+ finish. 89-91 rating.
April 25, 2010 - Drank with Sandors and Cooperbergs at home. I enjoyed it more than they did. Still quite tannic but nice barolo flavors. Noel prefered the Fontevecchia Brunello.
