    October 20, 2009 - what a surprise, this was a gift and I had litlle expectation of the wine being good. the drinking window says 2008, well it is drinking just find right now. . dark burgandy color, dark fruity taste, smooth, medium length- quite enjoyable. After being opened a little while the wine starts to fade, drink up now

    November 27, 2007 - Ruby colors. Tart red fruit. Very acidic. Hollow midpalate and short finish. Lacked the structure of other vintages. The Barbera d' Alba from same producer/vintage came accoss much more classic barbera.

    September 4, 2007 - Starting to fade a bit. Fruit has begun to fade a bit, letting more of the wine's natural acidity to emerge. Opened up a bit in the glass. Still very good, but drink remaining bottle soon.

    June 13, 2007 - A juicy display of Barbera. Great, dark color, with a moderate nose of tea and dark fruits. Medium bodied, but well balanced with a touch of blackberry, tea, minerals and a steady current of cranberries that is very appealing. Moderate finish with just the right amount of acidity. Recommend for purchase and would decant and breathe for a couple of hours.

    April 19, 2007 - Medium ruby in appearance. Quite open on the nose with some up front oak, treacle, burnt orange and plum. Quite acidic on the palate, medium tannins following onto dark fruits - cassis and some liqurice. Not bad but too acidic for me. Good wine to have with food.

    April 10, 2007 - Beautiful nose of pure berry fruits, with notes of forest floor and spice. Medium-bodied, great with food (chicken marsala in this case). Finishes a bit short.

    April 3, 2007 - La Strada Kelly K and Frank et al--nice, fresh fruity Barbera. Not a mind-number with any kind of complexity layers, but a nice solid food wine.
