February 24, 2021 - Dark purple color. Somewhat tight on the nose with some peppery spice and black cherry notes coming through but not much else. Tart black fruits on the palate with some bitter dark chocolate and pepper. Medium+ acid and grippy tannins. Not really a casual sipping wine but paired nicely with a grilled dry aged NY strip. Plenty of structure to continue aging but definitely needs food if drinking now.

October 27, 2019 - Deep ruby red with a purplish hue. Quite floral on the nose with some blueberries, currants, damp cigar box and light all spice. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. A touch of acidity on the palate with flavors of cedar, anise, currants and herbal. Long finish. Drink till 2023.

March 20, 2018 - My first pure PV varietal! Very dark and with some sediment (some chalky). An earthy/flowery nose that was dominated by blueberries and spice (more of the latter). Fine tannins and not acidic at ALL. Very smooth all the way around. I don't have much to compare to but I wasn't expecting that from a Petite Verdot. The chalky sediment along with the fine tannins created an interesting chewy mouthfeel, especially from the last glass. I would guess the fruit is starting to fade, so drink up I say - I quite enjoyed this!

December 13, 2014 - All sorts of dark in the glass and rich on the nose with blue/black berries and slight oaky notes. Wasn't terribly acidic and actually drank pretty soft, almost light on the palate - all fruit but avoided feeling overdone. Very approachable though not too complex, which is just fine. Offered a nice compliment to food and everyone enjoyed it, not much more to ask for. So it's drinking well now and I think it is what it is, so if you're hanging onto one waiting for development you may just want to consider diving in now.

September 19, 2014 - The wine looks purple colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), blueberry, medium toast, oak, black pepper, alcohol/hot and hay/straw. It tastes like blueberry, mineral and alcohol/hot. The body is medium/full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity.
