  September 11, 2021 - Decanted for 3 hours, classic Howell Mountain color and balance. 2008 was the last year Sojourn had a Howell Mountain wine. It is my favorite of all the Sojourn wines I have had. It was perfectly open with great structure and color; dark fruits and cedar with a the typical Howell Mountain hint of sweetness on the finish. I have one more. It won't get any better so will drink within the next 12 months. Paired very well with Denver Steaks grilled over cherry wood.

  October 16, 2018 - In its prime right now. Full bodied with black fruit. Integrated tannins with a fair amount of sediment. Great wine for the price.

  May 12, 2015 - Tasting more like a Paso Cab. Soft blackberry fruit with balanced acidity and soft, but lengthy finish.

  November 14, 2014 - Excellent Expression of Howell mountain. Shocked at how integrated the tannins are at such a young age. Lots of blueberry. Reminds me of some of the best 04 vintage cabs from Napa.
