January 25, 2018 - Drunk from a magnum. Nothing too memorable, but an easy drinker. A generous contribution to the wine night, but I certainly wouldn’t buy it for the price ($100+ during initial release).
Rich in structure with lightly resolved tannins. You get a lot of dark fruit and some mellow spices. Not a lot of complexity or underlying power in this bottle. I'm not sure more age will be the answer.
Regardless, thank you to Larry for sharing this bottle! A great evening, nonetheless. -

May 20, 2016 - Eðalklúbbur, vínsmakk #4 vor 2016 (Marbakkabraut 12): Mjög svipaður litur og á Altos víninu. Í nefi eru leysiefni (UHU lím) áberandi í byrjun. Við þyrlun koma í ljós sætu og brunatónar og einnig smá vanilla. Í bragðinu fundu menn sérrítóna, bakaða tóna, kirsuber og græn epli. Það er mikil fylling í því og tannínin eru mjúk. Vínið féll frekar hratt í glasinu og vann ekki á. Þetta vín vakti almennt ekki hrifningu.
