November 27, 2019 - What an awesome wine. We found it on our search of Zins in our cellar and decided that 11 years was long enough. We only bought 1 bottle but wow was it good! Deep rich flavors of dark cherries, raspberries and cocoa. Beautiful finish that keeps you coming back for more. What a deal for $26, wish We had more but oh well.

August 24, 2014 - Nose of bracken, earth, black fruit, opening to blackberry and plum on the palate, cedar and dry spice adding complexity. High alcohol (15.2%) adds heat in the middle, the only think I can criticize; after that fades, there's a long smoky finish of cooked black fruit and lively tannins. This wine is drinking fabulously now, fruit well integrated and a bit dryer, now equally good with dinner or just for tasting with friends.
