January 20, 2024 - A bit disappointing. Black fruit; blackberry, black plum. Just moderate tertiary aromas/flavours; forest floor. A bit one-dimensional. Chalky tannins. High acidity. Was better three years ago, but no typical signs of being too old. I hope this was just a dull bottle, and will give it a chance again in a year or two.

November 25, 2023 - Tasty Margaux! Tobacco, prune, leather, blackberry, soft oak, blackcurrant, cherry, medium plus body, dry long finish.

June 19, 2022 - Quelnbeau vin. Nez tout en fruits, bien expressif. En bouche, c est fruité avec une belle ampleur et une belle rondeur. Beaucoup de finesse, les tanins sont bien agréables. Déjà très bon et pour plusieurs années encore

March 15, 2022 - Still much too young with the tannins still very prominent. This needs at least another 5 years. Very good potential.

January 30, 2022 - It initially comes across as just a better quality bourgeois growth. But I think it is better than this. The nose is refined and with the soft perfumed fruit that is typical of Margaux. True, it dies somewhat in the glass, surprisingly for a 2010, and I think the tannins need another 4-5 years.

And yet, this is a wine that has a distinctive personality. And it is there from the beginning (even after two hours in the decanter there is no change).

Someone is making this wine with intent.

    May 3, 2021 - Classic Margaux.
    Deep garnet color, opaque
Mixed berry bouquet, ripe plum, ripe black cherry makes your mouth water just by inhaling its aroma.
A voluptuous texture, already open & ready yet potential to age probably a 10-15 year more. Solid value in Margaux for GCC.

March 26, 2021 - A classic Margaux. Cassis, tar, forest floor, leather. Developing positively. Not yet reached the peak, can be cellared for another 10 years without degradation.

February 8, 2021 - Less floral than many margaux I've had, despite 11 years in the bottle, tannins still strong, probably a mark of the strong 2010 vintage. The finish was surprisingly short, it's very pleasant, but I expected more complexity from a legendary vintage.
