September 10, 2022 - Checking in aged 25, let's see how well it held up.

A high intensity of flavors and aromas all over this wine. Dried porcini mushrooms, black cherry, tobacco, stewed strawberries, game meat and older leather. Full bodied with medium tannins. The tannins and the condition of the fruit tells me to drink this now

December 20, 2013 - Quite jammy. The finish is somewhat flat.

August 2, 2012 - Pop and pour. Initially nose is expressive tart cherry fruit with some florals. Started a bit austere with noticeable dry tannin but fleshed out rather quickly. Once some food arrived the wine started to show its stuff (this wine begs for food). It became richer, more complex and just a nice compliment to the spinach and ricotta crepes and roasted peppers with Italian sausage main course. Drinking near peak but still has enough stuffing for at least 5-10 years.

March 19, 2011 - The winery responded to my email inquiry, advising that the wine is now fully mature. Pop and pour. Very dark red color. Cherry and chocolate nose. Leather and tobacco. Strong oak element. Decently long fruit finish that is overwhelmed by the oak.

September 7, 2009 - This the 4th out of a case to be flawed, the importer is Vinefra and I have had no less than 2 cases of bad wine from this importer.
