    August 14, 2019 - Quite good CdR. Very dark, with good fruit. Still drinking well with lots of spicy, black pepper notes. Label suggests this is predominately Grenache, but I would guess this has a lot of Syrah.

    December 10, 2018 - Aged right now, and very enjoyable. 2 bottles lately that compare much more favorably to the same wine 2 years ago. Very dry and good structure, but not at all wanting for fruit and terroir. Medium bodied. Nice nose with currants and flowers and some pepper on the nose, but not too big. Same flavors on the palate, but then a big blackberry showed up too - and a bit of cheesy funk. Not simple; medium complexity. Very good balance. Medium finish. Very good value, tho patience required.
    The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant, oak, medium toast, bready and tobacco. It tastes like blackberry, red currant, oak, cherry, black pepper and honey. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

    September 1, 2018 - This wine has really improved with the years. My last encounter was several years back and I was much more impressed with the integrated fullness with a nice balance for this bottle.

    December 21, 2015 - Decanted for 2 hours before serving along a boeuf bourguignon.
    The wine was fully mature, good acidity. The nose was powerful with jammy dark fruits. Serve it slightly chilled at 16° to avoid the alcohol heat
