August 9, 2019 - Direkt vor dem Probieren geöffnet
    - Farbe: Hohe Farbtiefe. Konzentriertes Rubinrot.
    - Geruch: Ausgeprägte Intensität. Kirsche
    - Geschmack: Mittlere Säure und Tannine. Schon schön gereift. Aber Tannine noch mit guten Grip. Voller Körper. Kirsche. Etwas Tabak. Mittlerer Schmelz und Komplexität. Langer Nachhall.
    - Toller Wein mit grandiosem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Jetzt schön zu trinken aber hat auch noch viele Jahre vor sich.

March 23, 2019 - Pop and pour.

March 11, 2019 - Opened up sensationally over 3 hours. The nose just kept getting better and better. The colour of this wine showed a deep ruby core with some light bricking. So much fruit on the nose. Mostly red fruits-morello cherry, currents, raspberries. Delightful floral, almost pinot-esque notes. Violets. Some smoke and tar evident. Licorice and aniseed. Sea salt.
Light on the palate but heavy on the attack with acid and crunchy, juicy tannin. Moreish. Cherries on the palate. Dried cherries on the finish. Medium length finish. Some of the intrigue and elegance of the nose was probably lost on the palate unfortunately but this is still an amazing wine, with enough acidity and tannin to cut through fats and rich dishes. I enjoyed the wine with bistecca alla pizzaiola and it worked surprisingly well.
This wine is still displaying great fruit characteristics and feels like it could be enjoyable in it's current state for the next 5-10 years. It has plenty of juice in the tank.
