September 1, 2019 - Spicy aromas. Masculine wine, with plenty of tannins left. Concentrated.

March 1, 2019 - The 2007 Paje showed a gorgeous, lifted bouquet of sweet dried roses, a dusting of spice, cedar shavings, strawberry, menthol, and dusty soil tones. On the palate, I found silky textures complemented by sweet strawberry, zesty acids, hints of confectionary spice, black tea tannin and cedar. It finish long, with a twang of tart berry, lingering acids for energy and fine tannin that promises years of positive evolution. Why didn't I buy cased of this? What a wine, and a real standout from this warm vintage.

September 23, 2018 - Evolving yet I struggle (still) to see the big potential for this one. Elegant and soft, great balance at the moment - still it seems a bit shy despite several hours of decanting in advance and drunk over several hours. However there is an intriguing element here in form of elegance, but it never wow's me in any way as it lacks some complexity.

Nice wine, great pairing with proper food - but not a big one in my view.

September 23, 2018 - Prior bottle was 2 years and four months ago and the wine has improved noticeably in that time. Black cherry, floral and spices notes on the nose. Between medium and full bodied (14.%% ABV) and needs at least two hours open and by five, it was showing extremely well. Black cherry upfront with enough acidity that it comes off as quite bright, but not so much that it appears closed in. Mid-body has more depth than previously and also showed more density than the 2007 Moccagatta Bric Balin from last night. More expressive and more balanced than previously. Backside shows spices, tart red cherry and mineral qualities. Still has quite the wall of tannin, but much less obtrusive than previously and more in balance with the fruit. Should continue to improve along these lines over the next few years as peak is still a bit away. As well as it showed tonight and as much improvement as it showed over the prior bottle, I'll probably wait until at least Q1 2020 for my next bottle.

August 20, 2018 - Delicate but powerful, full flavored, long, evolving in the glass. In an excellent drinking window with fine tannins providing ample structure. Aromatic profile starts feminine, showing dusty spices and dried floral tones but opens over time to highlight more freshness with rose, rose water, strawberry. On the palate, I found silky textures with lingering flavors of pure strawberry, sweet spice, stems, and zesty acidity that added energy.
