October 22, 2023 - Decanted using a candle. Strong Dark Ruby color mild nose of cherry and anise. Muted palate predominantly cherry and managed tannins.
February 22, 2022 - Hopefully a bad phase, but I really did not like this at all. Lush, high octane, loaded with cherry liqueur on steroids, which delivers a hot, syrupy finish. There were signs of some Margaux elegance creeping through on the second evening, but not enough. Yuk.
December 11, 2021 - Very noticeably Margaux with a decade in bottle doing this a complete service and reaffirming the view that a Cru Bourgeois from a great vintage is always going to be an excellent choice for a quality glass of Claret. The tannin is still in evidence and the fruit is concentrated enough to give this a chance of being every bit as good in five years.
November 16, 2021 - Very dark purple color. Nice bouquet on the nose. Light tannins. Good depth and complexity but on the moderate side. Maybe more than 10 years mellowed it! Enjoyed!
February 25, 2021 - A decent wine and good QPR. That sums it up.
November 14, 2020 - A balanced wine. Fruity Rainier cherries. Medium weight and silky. Offers a wonderful mid palate and finish; As they say pleasure in the back. Very nice.
September 11, 2020 - This is a well made Bordeaux in its prime. Outstanding value. Drink now.
August 1, 2020 - Ripe, full-bodied Bordeaux, ready to drink. Not a lot of nuance, but a pleasure to drink. Paired well with grilled sirloin steak.
July 3, 2020 - Ripe cherry, rose and violets, herbes de Provence, cedar. Medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins. Not likely to improve, but there's no hurry to drink it either. Good for at least another 2-3 years.
January 18, 2020 - nice 2010 French wine
