August 15, 2016 - Fruit forward, cherry cream, balanced with enough tannin to extend the finish to medium long. I enjoyed this with grass fed beef - a perfect match.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. The body is medium/full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

January 19, 2013 - Great aromatics but out of balance with a medium-level fruit entry, a quirky mid-palate and a faint finish.
Revisited on day 3 and the aromatics were even better - briary wild berry with a touch of cedar and soy/umami. The fruit was much brighter and though the acidity was still a tad tart on the finish, it was no longer faint or (that) unbalanced. As such, several more points awarded.

March 18, 2012 - Still too young, but could improve in a year or two. Lots of red fruit up front (mostly cherry). Lots of tannins. Little spice. Moderate finish with some green pepper.
