November 5, 2020 - Still plenty of life in this bottle. Had many Oregon Pinot's over the years but Beaux Freres consistently produces one of the best wines in the region.

September 7, 2020 - Excelent wine despite the 10 years.

September 10, 2017 - Popped and poured. This is a light red wine with virtually no sediment -- surprising given the prominent unfined/unfiltered promo. On the nose, I get strawberry, cinnamon, and baking spices. In the mouth, this is crisp with modest red fruit. Overall, this hits the varietal and the region, but is not really distinctive. Still, it is hard to complain about the output on this $50 Pinot. 89 points.

August 6, 2017 - I'll say again, for years I drank this wine too soon and was routinely under impressed, but give it 6 or 7 years of cellar time and it really starts to shine. Tonight it was beautiful with an expressive nose of earthy, dark red fruit and Asian spice undertones, all of which were reflected in the penetrating, midweight palate that also had some underlying cola notes. There was still a little bit of chalky, unresolved tannins on the longish finish, but all in all, this was quite nice tonight and drinking very well within a 1/2 hour of opening.

April 3, 2017 - In the past, I've made the mistake of drinking this producer's wines too early, when they've been very primary and simple, they really need 6 or 7 years to flesh out. Tonight, this was very nice with lots of earthy, dark red fruit, good depth and complexity and a midlength finish. Quite enjoyable and in a good place right now.

March 14, 2017 - I continue be disappointed with this producer. Quite light and tart, I feel there are plenty of Oregon pinots with similar qualities at half the price. Solid Pinot if you like this style, but poor QPR

September 26, 2016 - On the nose, aromas of dark fruit, tobacco, cedar, violets, menthol. Bright blueberry, raspberry, and red cherry on the palate. Beautiful fruit-forward wine but without any jamminess or cloying mouthfeel, very well balanced. Drinking perfectly right out of the bottle.

June 28, 2016 - Somewhat of a cross between Oregon tart acidity with a touch of Cali fruit -- tasty.
Bright red fruit, baking spice, bramble, touch of oak.
This both drank well on its own and with food -- artic char.

May 17, 2016 - For me this is in a good place tonight with about an hour of air. There's lots of rich dark fruit, some Asian spice and earth in a med bodied format with good depth and complexity. Quite nice.
